Resiliency Education
Resiliency education is an essential part of helping students develop the skills they need to succeed in school and in life. In Florida, building resilience is a statewide priority led by Governor Ron DeSantis and First Lady Casey DeSantis. All public schools provide students with instruction focused on Resiliency Education, Character and Civic Education, and Life Skills. These lessons promote self-awareness, healthy decision-making, and effective problem-solving. Below are the 11 resiliency characteristics.

Charlotte County Public Schools incorporates Navigate 360 Compass Curriculum lessons as part of our Resiliency Education program for students, grades K-12. These lessons are delivered through a variety of formats, including direct instruction and independent, self-paced learning. In addition to structured lessons, resiliency skills are embedded into daily interactions, with staff consistently using teachable moments to model and reinforce these important life skills throughout the school day.
