CCPS Seeks Referendum Oversight and Budget Advisory Committee Members
The Independent Referendum Oversight and Budget Advisory Committee (IROBAC) plays a critical role in ensuring financial accountability and transparency within the Charlotte County School District.
The 13-member committee, comprised of professionals from diverse fields, reviews and advises on the district’s operating and capital budgets. Its primary focus is to ensure that funds from the voter-approved one-mill ad valorem tax referendum are spent strictly in line with the original ballot language.
Membership Requirements
The Superintendent will appoint two financial professionals to the committee.
At least two members must represent the following fields:

The role of the Independent Referendum Oversight and Budget Advisory Committee (IROBAC) is to review the district’s operating and capital budgets, provide advisory recommendations to ensure that referendum proceeds are allocated as intended, and promote transparency and accountability in the district’s financial operations.
