This could look like a youth that has run away from home, or has been kicked out of their home. Sometimes this can look like a youth that has been left to take care of their own needs. Additionally, these youth might be living with friends or family, as they have no where else to go. Youth might be staying at a shelter, living in a car, park, motel, or bus/train station.
The Families in Transition (FIT) staff can assist unaccompanied homeless youth with services, such as food, supplies, enrollment documentation, community referrals, FAFSA application, and more.
