CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. – Charlotte County Public Schools has announced the placement of two experienced school leaders for the 2026-27 school year. Matina Pulliam has been named principal of Neil Armstrong Elementary School, and Nicole Davel has been named principal of Myakka River Elementary School.
"Strong leadership is essential to creating schools where students and staff can thrive," said Superintendent Mark Vianello. "Both Pulliam and Davel are dedicated educators who have built strong relationships with students, families and staff throughout their careers. Their leadership experience and commitment to student success make them excellent choices to lead these school communities."
Pulliam has served Charlotte County Public Schools since 2006, with experience spanning the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Most recently, she served as assistant principal at Murdock Middle School. A multiple-time Teacher of the Year finalist, she holds a master’s degree in Educational Leadership.
Davel most recently served as assistant principal at L.A. Ainger Middle School. She holds a master's degree in Educational Leadership and brings extensive instructional and leadership experience to her new role.
Both assistant principal positions at L.A. Ainger Middle School and Murdock Middle School, currently held by the two administrators, are posted and open for applicants.
