Superintendent of Schools
There’s a certain energy that runs through Charlotte County each May. You can feel it in our schools and across our community—a mix of pride, reflection, and excitement for what’s ahead. It’s the season of caps and gowns, of “Pomp and Circumstance,” and of watching a generation of students take their next step forward. It’s one of the best times of the year, because it gives our entire community the chance to celebrate the accomplishments, potential, and bright future of our students.
It is with great pride that I congratulate the Charlotte County Public Schools Class of 2026 and recognize the journey that has brought them to this moment.
To our graduates: this milestone represents years of hard work, growth, and perseverance. From your earliest days in our classrooms to your final walk across the stage, you have shown determination and character. You have faced challenges, adjusted when things didn’t go as planned, and kept moving forward. You have found success in academics, athletics, the arts, and career and technical programs—and you have supported one another along the way. What stands out most isn’t just what you’ve accomplished, it’s how you’ve done it. You have built resilience. You have learned how to work with others. You have developed the ability to think, adapt, and solve problems. Those qualities matter, and they will help carry you forward.
At Charlotte County Public Schools, we believe our responsibility is bigger than helping students earn a diploma—it’s about making sure every student leaves our schools prepared for their individualized “what’s next.” And I can say with confidence—you are ready. Whether you’re heading straight into the workforce, continuing your education, or choosing to serve in the United States Armed Forces, you are prepared. You have the knowledge, the skills, and the work ethic to succeed.
At the same time, we recognize that success is never achieved alone. The success of this graduating class reflects the work of a dedicated team of professionals. To our teachers, support staff, and administrators—thank you. The time you’ve invested, the expectations you’ve set, and the relationships you have built have made all the difference. From classrooms to buses, from cafeterias to front offices, you’ve created environments where students are safe, supported, challenged, and able to grow. This moment belongs to you as well.
To our families—thank you for your partnership. You’ve been there every step of the way, encouraging, supporting, and guiding your children through each stage of their education. And to our taxpayers, local businesses, and community organizations—thank you for investing in our schools and in the future of Charlotte County. Together, you demonstrate a shared commitment to education and a belief that when we invest in our children, we invest in the future success and strength of our entire community.
