Charlotte County, Fla. — Charlotte County Public Schools (CCPS) has been nationally recognized for excellence in school communications, earning three 2025 Publication and Digital Media Awards from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA).

“I am incredibly proud of our communications team for their award-winning work,” said Superintendent of Schools Mark Vianello. “Their creativity is unmatched, and they consistently ensure the achievements of our students and staff are celebrated with purpose and pride throughout the community.”

CCPS received the following honors:
  • Honorable Mention – Social Media
  • Award of Merit – Video Series: Exploring Your E’s
  • Award of Merit – Website: CCPS Online: Designed for Success

Each entry was judged against submissions from districts of similar size and type, with scoring based on creativity, clarity, execution, and effectiveness. NSPRA’s review panel commended CCPS for its strategic storytelling and cohesive messaging across platforms.

The Exploring Your E’s video series, which highlights the district’s commitment to preparing students to Enlist, Enroll, or become Employed after graduation, was praised for its compelling focus on student futures. The district’s redesigned website, launched in January, earned recognition for its intuitive user experience and strong alignment with CCPS’s brand and strategic goals.

Additionally, CCPS was awarded for its engaging and transparent social media presence, which continues to serve as a trusted source of information and connection for families, staff, and the wider community.

Since the department’s establishment two years ago, the CCPS Communications team has earned multiple national awards for its work. The CCPS Communications Department is under the leadership of Claudette Smith, alongside team members James Romulus and Christen Peterson.
