The Florida Public Records Law authorizes the public to inspect, photograph, and copy public records maintained by Charlotte County Public Schools unless specifically exempted by law. According to state law, if the nature or volume of the public records requested requires extensive use of resources or clerical assistance to fulfill, the school district may charge the associated service fee, in addition to the actual cost of any duplication. If there is a fee for the requested records, a written estimate will be provided before any work is compelted.
