20-Hour Leadership Recertification Requirement

Effective July 1, 2024, Florida Administrative Code, Rule 6A-4.0051 requires anyone holding Educational Leadership and/or School Principal subject areas to include 20 hours of Florida’s educational leadership standards in-service points as a part of the required 120 points. This impacts those with professional certificates expiring June 30, 2025, and after.

 

Who is affected?

  • Educators with “Educational Leadership” or “School Principal” certification(s) on the Professional Educator Certificate. 
     

What courses count towards the requirement?

  • Courses on MyPLC labeled with the code “LDR20” can be counted towards this requirement.

Search the corresponding course code below and enroll in the section.You will be brought to the Educational Impact LMS, where you will work through each module at your own pace. When you complete the course, it will automatically populate onto your Professional Learning Transcript.
