CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — The Charlotte County School Board has approved the 2026–2027 academic calendars for Charlotte County Public Schools (CCPS). The early release of next year’s calendars allows families and staff to plan ahead for vacations, family events, and other commitments, helping support consistent student attendance throughout the school year.
The 2026–2027 student calendar includes four early release days, which provide dedicated time for teacher professional learning and collaboration to support classroom instruction and student success.
School Board Member Cara Reynolds said approving the calendar early reflects the Board’s focus on attendance and academic achievement. “When families have the opportunity to plan ahead, students are more likely to be in school and ready to learn,” Reynolds said. “Strong attendance helps build strong schools, and that benefits our entire community.”
