The Charlotte County Jazz society presented its 2022 scholarship awards at its jazz concert at the military museum theater on April 11th. This year the society gave out $ 11,500 in scholarships. The recipients are Xavier Gauthier - PCHS, Matthew Coey Grannan - LBHS, Hunter Fisher - CHS, Nicholas Nease - PCHS and Julia Sloane - PCHS. Xavier and Hunter will be attending ESU with a major in music education, Matthew will be attending FSU with a major in music performance, Nicholas will be attending Duke University with a major in engineering and Julia will be attending FGCU with a major in music therapy. The recipients are included in the accompanying picture along with the society’s scholarship committee chairman dr. Ennis “Buz” Bisbano.
