Family Reading Experience

 Family Reading Experience

Book Border

The Family Reading Experience takes place on Wednesday's from 7:30-8:30 or 3:10-3:40 and Friday's from 7:30-8:30.  If attending on Wednesday afternoon's parents must send a note into the teacher with their student for dismissal purposes and then check in the office upon arrival.
Parents and students locate books that are "just right" for each child's current reading level.
Having books on the correct level provides the greatest opportunity for reading skills to grow.
In addition to the weekly check-out books, each child receives a free "keeper" book for their home library, LIVE school points earned for each visit and the chance to enter their name in the EXCITING WEEKLY DRAWINGS!

What are the goals of the Family Reading Experience?
To involve parents in a home/school partnership for improving student academic achievement.
To provide parents with learning strategies and workshops to help their child succeed.
To develop a love for books and enthusiasm for reading.
To increase parents' knowledge of the reading process.
To provide books for parents to use with their children.
To distribute current information and materials on effective parenting techniques.

I look forward to building a positive relationship with you and your child on your reading journey!

FRE is the place to be!
