The Twentieth Judicial Court High School Mock Trial Competition was held Friday, February 21 and Saturday, February 23, 2020, at the Lee County Court House.  Florida Southwestern Collegiate High School, the Charlotte County Public Schools Mock Trial Champions, battled against teams from Lely High School, Collier County, and Fort Myers High School, Lee County, during a grueling two-day contest.

Florida Southwestern Collegiate High School and Fort Myers High School competed in a very exciting Final Round, and Fort Myers High School claimed the title, Twentieth Judicial Court High School Mock Trial Champions.

The State High School Mock Trial Competition, sponsored by Justice Teaching Center for Civic Learning at Florida Southern University, offered the Twentieth Judicial Circuit two spots at the State Competition in Orlando.  Thus, both Fort Myers High School and Florida Southwestern Collegiate High School will compete at the State Mock Trial Competition in Orlando this March.  This is the sixth consecutive year that Charlotte County has sent a team to the State Finals.

In addition, two Florida Southwestern Collegiate High School students won scholarships for their performance at the Circuit Competition:
