Ms. Bill

My name is Nancy Bill and I teach SPANISH 2  and AICE SPAN LANG AS.

This is my second year teaching at Lemon Bay High School.  I moved from Bradford, MA, to Venice Fl after teaching many years in Newburyport, Lawrence and Methuen schools. Lemon Bay is a great school with wonderful students, highly trained staff, and a very supportive administration.  I am so grateful and happy that I get to teach in such a

I have a BA  in Spanish Language/Literature from Barry University,  and an M.Ed. from the University of Massachusetts. I also studied in Madrid, Spain, at La Universidad Politécnica where I was enrolled in a graduate program studying International Business and Finance.  I lived in Madrid for over a year and go back as often as I can.    I  have led many student intercambios with the Colegio Liceo Sorolla in Pozuelo.  The Intercambio is a phenomenal way for students to live with Spanish families.  It is a life-changing experience for students.

I have taught Spanish levels 1 - 5 for many years in Massachusetts, until I was ready to leave those frigid NE winters!  I have a love of Spanish and a passion for teaching it.  21st Century learning stresses the importance of speaking other languages.  We are living in an ever changing world which has become smaller due to technological advances.  It is now more important than ever to be able to speak more than one language.  And Spanish is one of the most spoken languages world wide.  As I tell my students, "If you can speak English AND Spanish, you can communicate with 80% of the planet!"
