Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Long

I was born and raised in Van Wert, Ohio and moved to Englewood, FL with my family in 2016.  I received my Bachelors in Psychology from Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne, IN and my teaching certificate from Florida Southwestern in 2019. Prior to teaching, I worked as a social worker that supported students with developmental disabilities.  I have a passion for education and am dedicated to building relationships with my students and their families! I strive to create a positive and fun environment so my students can learn and grow as learners!

I love spending time with my family! My husband and I have been married for 14 years and we have three children (Mackenzie, Kaden, and Emma).  We also have three dogs that are a big part of our family, Chance, Bella, and Mila! We love spending time being outside, going to the beach, and enjoying the beautiful Florida weather!

Personal Mission Statement:
My mission is to show my students that they can achieve anything!  I will strive to mold independent thinkers that learn to problem solve and find solutions.  I will form positive and encouraging relationships with my students and their families! I will create an inclusive and supportive environment for my students that supports learning and growth! I have a passion for learning and hope to pass it along to my students so they become lifelong learners.
