The Basics

My name is Ms. Long and I am very excited to be your child’s school teacher! I grew up in Fort Lauderdale, FL and I love living near the ocean! I now live in Cape Coral, FL with my husband, 2 kids and dog. I am fluent in English and Spanish. I love going to the beach, spending time with family and staying active whenever I can!

I graduated from UCF in 2011 with a degree in Elementary Education. I have my Reading, ESOL, and Gifted endorsement.  I taught English abroad in Spain during my internships. I have 6 years of teaching experience with 3 of them being at East Elementary (2013-2016). I thought I retired after having my first child but I just couldn’t stay away. I love teaching and helping students grow. So, I am back and ready for all the new adventures ahead!

Our Classroom

My goal is to help your child learn and grow while having lots of fun, too! In this class, we are a small community of teammates that help and accept one another. I believe that valuable learning occurs when children feel comfortable and happy in their classroom. I look forward to getting to know your child and the support system that surrounds them.
