Ms. Desire B. Cox

I have spent the last 14 years work for the Department of Education, Division of Vocational Rehabilitaiton as a Transition Counselor helping ESE high students transition into a career after high school.  I worked closely with CCPS for the last decade, partnering to help meet the needs of ESE student in their transition to adulthood.  I'm excited to share my experience and knowledge in the role of ESE teacher. I relocated from New Hampshire to Charlotte County about 15 years ago.  My undergraduate degree in in Anthropology with a specialization in Archaeology and also have an AS degree from ST. Petersburg College in Health Information Technology.  I am currently a graduate student at FGCU in the Special Education program and will complete Summer 2020.  I served proudly in the US Navy and was the among the first group of females assigned to the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier.  I was able to travel to some exotic locations!  I look froward to helping PGMS students succeed and grow!
