I am missing my students so much! I hope everyone is safe and healthy.
Due to our circumstances, beginning March 30th, students will be participating in eLearning. The Science curriculum will be delivered through Edgenuity which can be accessed through ClassLink. Any supplemental materials will be through Google Classroom.
Please contact me anytime. I am available immediately during the hours of 10am - 2pm, Monday- Friday, and will get back with you promptly outside of those hours. Communication can occur through Remind, Edgenuity or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I encourage you to sign up for Remind notifications, join my class in Google Classroom, as well as check my teacher webpage, as I will be pacing you through Edgenuity. I know this is a huge change. We will get through this together!

Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Denise Kearney
I am a Florida native, but beware, I am a Patriots and Red Sox fan! I am a former student of L.A. Ainger, a Lemon Bay graduate, and a Florida Gulf Coast University alumni. Coming back to Ainger was like coming home, and I have enjoyed teaching Science here for the past 9 years. My degree is in Marine Science, and I have professional certifications for Elementary Education (K-6), Middle Grades Integrated Curriculum (5-9), and Biology (6-12), as well as an ESOL (English Speakers of Other Languages) endorsement.
I have been married for 13 years; my husband is a former student of Ainger and graduate of Lemon Bay too! We have two amazing kids: Jake and Ava, two crazy dogs: Ernie and Gunner, and 1 very sweet ferret: Sushi. I love spending time with my family whether we are camping, hiking to a waterfall, swimming, just snuggling on the couch watching a movie, or trying to survive a family game night. Being a mom has helped me to become a better teacher. I believe in treating your child the way I would want my child to be treated. My philosophy of teaching is to create a safe, nurturing environment so each child has an equal opportunity to be enriched through visual, written, and kinesthetic activities.
