40 Book Challenge !

This year in ELA class we are doing a 40 Book Challenge!

      The goal is to get the students interested in reading and find a book on their reading level.  When a student completes a book : they will need to fill out a 3x5 notecard in class.  The students will draw the cover with the title and author on the front, and on the back they will write a short summary of the book.  The student will then tell me about this is completed, and I will award them with 5 Eagle Bucks. Students will share the books they are reading with their classmates.  The notecards will be stored in class on a binder ring.  The goal is to also have students try reading different generes.  At the end of the school year, students that compleete the challenge will have a pizza party on me. Please encourage your student to read at least 20 minutes every night towards their reading challenge.
