Welcome to Vineland's 4th grade website.
We feel honored to be partnering with you in your child's education and we look forward to an exciting school year.
Dear Fourth Grade Families,
Thank you for taking the time to speak with your child’s teacher this week. Below you will find each teachers office hours and email. Please use email or Remind to contact your child’s teacher if you have questions or need help. Also, listed you will see login instructions for your child’s classlink launchpad to use iReady, MyOn, AR and USA Test Prep. Your child should be familiar with how to log into classlink and that will give them access to the other programs. Please have your student log in and ensure they have access to the programs listed. Please make sure you have confirmed with your child’s teacher that your student was able to log in to all the programs.
On Monday, March 30th your student will need to start, and complete by Friday, the iReady math diagnostic followed by the reading diagnostic to set their instructional path. It will be available automatically when they first login. Please allow ample time for this assessment and provide them with breaks if needed. However, please allow the student to complete this assessment independently as it will create a learning path based on their individual needs. Please make sure they have paper and pencil to do the math.
Each week your student will need to:
- Complete 180 minutes of iReady reading
- Complete 180 minutes of iReady math
- Complete 10 videos and quick checks on USA Test Prep Science (each week I will specify which lessons)
- Read using the large assortment of books on MyOn and take a comprehension check on AR for the books they complete. We will be monitoring your child’s progress and would like to see your child read for 150 minutes per week and earn 4 AR points per week.
We know this may be a difficult time for our VES families. If you need any additional assistance please reach out. We will do our best to support your child as they continue their education even during these uncertain times. Thank you for your support!
Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
