Free Meal Benefits to ALL Students!

  • Every student is eligible for breakfast and lunch each day at all district schools for FREE! for the 2021-2022 school year. Champ’s Café is offering free meals to All Students through June, 2022 through the USDA's SSO, Seamless Summer Option.
    Only student families at Charlotte High and Lemon Bay High are encouraged to complete meal benefits applications for the 2021-2022 school year so that the CHS or LBH student may qualify for a discount on internet service, sports or band activities, SAT and ACT tests, etc.
    Port Charlotte High and The Academy students already qualify for these discounts through the CEP Community Eligibility Provision. CHS and LBH parents and guardians can apply online at champs.yourcharlotteschools.net or download the application form, call to request one be mailed to your home (941-575-5400 extension 1406) or complete the application sent home on the first day of school. If you choose a method other than the online application, please be sure to complete all required areas of the form, sign it and return it to your child's school promptly.

    Updated Wellness Policy

    Due to rising rates of obesity in the United States, the federal government mandated that every school district develop and implement its own wellness policy. We surveyed parents, staff, community members, and students and have implemented a new wellness policy. Please take a moment to view our wellness policy information and find some other health-promoting materials.
