My Mission Statement

As an educator, I will instill the belief in my students that they can achieve anything.  I will inspire, encourage, and cultivate a learning environment in which students feel safe and secure; ultimately meeting their intellectual and emotional needs.  My students will be treated with compassion, respect, and fairness.  I promise to create a loving classroom where students will grow and develop into life-long learners. 

Teaching Career:  I have been an educator for 12 years.  I began my career in Hillsborough County teaching second grade.  I moved back to Punta Gorda in 2010 and began working at Sallie Jones.  Here I've taught kindergarten, 5th grade, STEM, and 4/5 TAG.

Education:  I graduated from the University of Florida (GO GATORS) with a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Elementary Education.  I have my Gifted and ESOL endorsements. 

**Fun Fact:  I attended Sallie Jones Elementary as a child.  

Family:  My husband Travis is a Deputy Sheriff.  We have two young sons Bryce (4 yrs) and Declan (2 yrs), and our adorable Weimaraner Jax.  I have a house full of monster trucks, racecars and dinosaurs!
