A Message from Superintendent Dionisio
Late last week the Governor of Florida and the Florida Commissioner of Education announced their decision for students to return to school fully in the fall.
Charlotte County Schools will do everything possible to bring students and staff back to school in the fall in the safest way possible.
The first thing I will do as superintendent in order to prepare is meet with many different groups of people to help me troubleshoot how we should transition back to school in the fall.
Throughout this week, I will be meeting with teachers, selected from all levels and subject areas.
In addition, I will be meeting with selected middle and high school students and parents from all levels.
I will also conduct meetings with selected nurses and custodians as well as selected employees from Champs Café and Transportation.
All of these meeting will have the same purpose, to assist CCPS in working through many of the issues we will face in the fall from their individual perspectives.
As we work through all of these issues, we will continue to fine tune our return to school plan to make the return as safe as possible.
Please continue to monitor the District and School websites for updates on summer happenings and the 2020-21 School Year.
Again, I cannot thank you enough for your patience and cooperation during this time.
Please continue to have a great summer and stay safe.
