    • Transportation: Please send a note if your child will be leaving school in a manner different than their everyday departure.

    Please indicate whether this change will be for one day or a permanent change.

    • Daily Folders: The take home folder is a great tool for communication. Please check the blue take home folder nightly and initial daily on the calendar.
    • Homework: Homework is sent home on Monday in your child’s Red homework folder.  Please return homework on Friday. Homework is used as a review of the material learned in the classroom.
    • Sight Words: During the second week of school, your child will receive a yellow “popcorn” book. This booklet will hold your child’s sight words. Sight words are commonly used words that young children are encouraged to memorize as a whole by sight, so that they can automatically recognize these words in print without having to use any strategies to decode.
    • Children should wear sneakers every day, since they play outside every day.
    • Please bring in a change of clothes in a bag with your child’s name on it. In case of an accident, I like to have an extra set on hand.
