Mrs. Alison Gregory
Hello Cougar Leaders!
My name is Alison (Allie) Gregory and I am so excited to be coming to you as Kingsway's Literacy Instructional Coach. This is my 8th year in education and I am looking forward to serving in this new role. I graduated in 2016 from Old Dominion University in Virginia with a Graduate Degree in Elementary Education. I retired from the United States Air Force in October 2016, after 20 years of service as a Medical Logistics Supervisor. I am blessed to have been able to serve my country and wouldn't change it for the world! I then started my teaching career in Newport News, Virginia, where I taught 5th grade to ESOL students. I then moved down to Port Charlotte where I taught 3rd grade for two years in Lee County before transferring to Charlotte County Public Schools. I taught 3rd and 5th grade at Neil Armstrong Elementary and finally joined the Kingsway family in 2021 as a 5th grade teacher. I have absolutely loved this journey and can't wait to see where the next 15 years takes me.
I am a mother to four children: Naomi-25, Joshua-24, Emelia-18, and Madison-15, and a wife to a wonderful man named Timothy. We have three pets: a Goldendoodle named Brady and two cats named Tessa and Max. I love to travel and I have been to over 30 countries so far and I am not done yet! My goal is to retire, after teaching, somewhere in the mountains with lots of land where we can have animals and be a sanctuary for as many dogs as we can handle! I love the outdoors, spending time with family, playing games, and watching HGTV!
My mission as Literacy Instructional Coach is to enhance classroom literacy instruction by improving teachers’ skills and competencies. I will strive to increase the opportunity for success for teachers and students by inspiring excellence in each teacher. I will support KES teachers and provide opportunities for reflection on their literacy instruction, professional growth, collaboration and implementation of effective practices that will foster student growth and create a positive change in our school culture.
