I'm a Missouri girl.  I earned a Master's of Elementary Education and a Special Reading Certification K-12 at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri.  I have been an educator for many years-most of those years in Missouri.  This is my third year at Kingsway Elementary.  Originally I was hired at Kingsway in October of 2018 because of overcrowding in classrooms.  I have a husband, three grown children and four grandchildren in Missouri.  Needless to say, I travel there any time we have a break.  One of my favorite pastimes is spending time with my family. I also enjoy walking in the sunshine, doing yoga and going to the beach.  Another passion I have is anything that has to do with home building, architecture, landscaping, or interior design.  One of my favorite networks is HGTV.  

As I said earlier, I have been in education for many years but I am still learning new ways to be a more effective teacher.  I am a lifelong learner as I want my students to be.  My goal is to inspire my students and instill in them a love of learning that carries them through life as productive, informed, caring, responsible citizens of their communities.  I truly believe the future of the world sits in my classroom today.
