Hi, SJE Tigers!!!

This week, we are changing things up a bit and you will notice I replaced the grades with easy, intermediate, and advanced level.  You may want to do the advanced level if you are working alongside an older sibling or parent or stick to the easy level if you only have a few minutes to work independently.  I have included links again (you can click on under a few of the lessons) where I think you may need them along with instructions.  I have previewed all of the links for videos I am sharing as part of the Art Splash activities to make sure they are both safe and age appropriate.  I will give you a variety of ideas of how to create each project with or without supplies.  If you are looking for the templates I referred to in this week's recorded video, you can locate them in the "bunny drawings" or "faberge eggs" galleries in photos.

The supply scavenger hunt was the MOST important activity from last week (if you need to choose only one!).  Perhaps you know someone in your neighborhood or family who may have some supplies they are no longer using that could be dropped in your mailbox safely. It is important for you to keep your art that is on paper of any kind together and organized.  Part of that challenge is to use found objects in nature and repurposing those *almost too small or toooo beat up to use again* art supplies.  We’ll use crayons, colored pencils, markers, containers, fabric and even food items to create artwork that may last a lifetime or only long enough to snap a photo.  If you are in desperate need of blank paper, please message me on Remind or through email.

Finally, I don’t want you to stop having that special >free play< time creating art of your choice!  You will notice I have been posting them in the "free time art" gallery in the photos section.   It has been such a blessing seeing all those pictures your families have been sending on Remind or posting on Facebook of you doing ART while staying home for this extended time!  I cannot wait to see photos of this week's Spring themed assignments and/or your free time art.  I can tell you still have been searching for YouTube channels; I am still compiling my list of these resources. As always, I encourage you to surf the web through class link ONLY.  Make sure an adult has given you permission and *is always close by* when you are surfing as many masterpieces are for mature audiences only.

Now let’s go make an “Art Splash” together!  Have FUN!
