Avatar is our online professional development management system. It provides for the following online functions:

  • Inservice Records (Transcript) – access inservice records to check on completed inservice sessions, total points, etc. related to your current certification validity period.

  • Inservice Sessions – access a catalog of inservice offerings by description and by date offered.

  • Register for Inservice – register for courses online for which you are eligible. The system will automatically enroll you if a seat is available. If not, the system will place you on a waiting list and inform you if a seat becomes available. You can also cancel a registration if needed.

  • Monitor Inservice (Class Portfolio) – monitor your progress in inservice sessions including session dates, posting assignments, and course evaluation.

  • Certificate of Completion – Access your ready-to-print certificate immediately upon course completion.

  • Learning Plans – for long term/multiple session programs such as a certification endorsement program, the system provides a learning plan to help keep track of the needed sessions and activities. This will eventually include IPDPs.

  • My Calendar – A personal online calendar to keep track of inservice dates and activities. Automatically updates with registration/cancellation.

  • Automated e-mail reminders – for session dates, assignments, changes, waiting lists, etc. The system automatically sends appropriate e-mails to the person’s First Class e-mail account
