Nearly 20 percent of the student population in Charlotte County Public Schools have been identified as exceptional and are receiving exceptional student education services. These services are delivered in regular elementary and secondary schools, specialized centers, and at home or in hospitals by certified teachers, school psychologists, program and staffing specialists, liaisons, administrators and support staff.
The director of Exceptional Student Education administers the ESE program and is responsible for management of the overall program within the framework of the total district’s educational program.
